Words and Photography by Xochi Perez
San Diego, only an hour away from the Mexican border, is a melting pot of cultures and ecological species. La Jolla Cove holds a magical underwater world where sea turtles, Garibaldi fish, and leopard sharks swim between the canyon’s crevices. On the terrestrial surface is a place where the sun always shines and makes the warm hearts thrive. Where simple good vibes are sponsored by the summer air and riding in a VW van from ‘65. As a native, I carry the feeling of San Diego’s aura wherever I go, in the sunshine or snow.
